Inkjet Printer Cartridge

Types of inkjet cartridge for HP, Canon & Epson printers and why use inkjet refills

Inkjet Cartridges

Inkjet printers are one of the most popular models on the market. Ink jet printer cartridges are something that many people deal with often when using their computer printer. There are many different models of ink jet printer cartridges, like Epson inkjet cartridge, Canon inkjet cartridge and HP inkjet cartridges, but they are all typical operated in the same manner. It is helpful to understand how an ink jet printer cartridge works so a person can troubleshoot problems and keep their printer in good working order.

Inkjet printers are non-impact printers which means they do not touch the paper, but rather sprays the images onto the paper. An ink jet printer cartridge is designed with a foil-like end where droplets of ink are released onto and they sprayed into the paper. These cartridges can burn out if they are left in a printer when dry. There are two types of inkjet printers. The continuous inkjet printers work by spraying continuous ink through a nozzle in the inkjet printer cartridge. As the ink is sprayed it is formed into the various shapes of letters and images to be printed.

A thermal inkjet printer is what is used in most home printers and is where the ink bubbles up on the printer head and then drops into the paper. A person can tell if something was printed on an inkjet printer by looking at it. The printed product will have small dots, which in the case of colored prints, will combine to form the colors and shapes. These dots are so small a magnifying glass would need to be used to see them.

Inkjet printer cartridges are rather costly. This has prompted the development of inkjet refills. Inkjet refills are basically a kit that includes a tool and some ink. The tool is used to make a hole in the top of the cartridge. The ink is then put into the hole. There are mixed reviews about the use of inkjet refills. For the most part inkjet printer cartridges last quite a while as no ink is ever wasted during the printed process. As long as they are cared for they should last through many printing jobs. It is always recommended to make sure no inkjet cartridge is left in the printer when dry as this can burn out the printer head and make the cartridge useless. Many store recycle used inkjet cartridges, too. They are refilled at the factory and sold at a lower price than brand new inkjet printer cartridges.

Inkjet printer cartridges are more complex than the ones existed many years ago. They also work much better. This is why inkjet printers are the most common type of printer used in both home and office.
